This Big Island Hawaii Hotel is located on Hilo Bay. The Naniloa Volcano Resort is not located next to the volcanoes as the name may cause some confusion.

This Big Island accommodation used to be called the old Hawaii Naniloa Hotel...a pretty grand hotel back in the day...I remember staying there as a kid all the time. It is now owned by the same group that owns the Volcano House. It was in pretty dire need of renovation and as of early 2008, they are underway.

The Naniloa does have a nice location on Hilo Bay about 45 minutes from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.
