Maui Beaches -- D.T. Flemming Beach
D.T. Flemming Beach is one of the beautiful Maui beaches in the Kapalua Resort Area. It sits in front of the Ritz Carlton.
It was named "America's Best Beach" in 2006 by Dr. Stephen P. Leatherman, aka Dr. Beach (Once a beach wins the title, it cannot win it again). That marks the 11th time one of Hawaii's beaches has won that honor since 1991.
D.T. Flemming Beach is very popular with locals and tourists alike. It is great for bodysurfing, boogie boarding, surfing, and snorkeling. I would not recommend it for novice swimmers or small children unless it is totally calm. Amenities:
