Maui Hawaii Resorts

Looking for a Maui accommodation? Maui Hawaii Resorts may be exactly what the doctor ordered.

Maui has a vast array of places to stay. In fact, next to Oahu, Maui has the most choices of places to stay.

The island is dotted with world-class resort areas that sit on some of the best beaches on the planet. Within these resort areas are many different types of accommodations: Maui Hawaii Resorts, Maui Discount Hotels, Maui Luxury Vacation Rentals, and Condo Rentals in Maui, among others.

Rates vary tremendously based on a property's proximity to the ocean and the rooms' view. Properties closer to the ocean tend to cost more. Likewise, Garden or mountain view rooms are going to be much cheaper than ocean view rooms. There is also a difference between partial and full ocean views.

I have categorized the accommodations by resort area and the following price tiers:

  • $ - $100 and up
  • $$ - $200 and up
  • $$$ - $300 and up
  • $$$$ - $400 and up
  • $$$$$ - $500 and up
The price tier that I list for each property represents the rack rates for the cheapest room category at the property. Remember,...People rarely pay the rack rates...For the best rates on a Maui Hawaii Resort, call a knowledgable Hawaii Travel Agent...me!

Below is a map of the different resort areas on Maui.

Sidebar--I have noticed that alot of resorts are charging what is called a "resort fee". It usually runs anywhere from $10-$25/day. It includes such things as complimentary breakfast (kind of contradictory to charge for complimentary breakfast isn't it?), internet access, gym use, parking, etc. You can't decline this fee, so just be aware of it.

Maui Hawaii Resorts -- Wailea Resort Area

The Wailea Resort Area is located on the southwest shore of Maui. It has a more secluded feel to it than the other major resort areas...and arguably the most high-end accommodations too. Appropriately, the beaches in the Wailea area are some of the best on the island.
