This Oahu accommodation is a Hawaii landmark...The Royal Hawaiian was built in 1927 and is known as the "Pink Palace of the Pacific". It's so easy to describe...you just call it "the pink hotel" and everyone will know what you're talking about.

Update--The Royal Hawaiian will begin a major renovation in June of 2008 and will be CLOSED until late in the year.

The Royal Hawaiian and the Westin Moana Surfrider (under the same Starwood family) are probably the two most recognized hotels on Oahu (and Hawaii). It's hard to mention one without thinking of the other.
