Oahu Luxury Hotels | The Moana Surfrider - A Westin Resort

This is the oldest of all Oahu luxury hotels...and is also known as the The First Lady of Waikiki. The Moana was originally built in 1901 earning it a spot on the National Register of Historic Places.
June 2007 Update--The Moana Surfrider (formerly the Sheraton Moana Surfrider) is now a Westin. It is undergoing a huge renovation and will be able to boast Waikiki's first beachfront spa in mid- 2008.
The Moana has three wings, and most of the rooms come with an ocean view overlooking Waikiki Beach.

The Beach Bar, located oceanfront next to their landmark 100 year-old Banyan tree, has live music, and is a favorite with locals and tourists alike. They have some great musicians here...including Kelly Boy Delima from the popular band Kapena.
If you want a taste of old Hawaii, this is the place to stay.
