Big Island Beaches -- White Sands Beach

This is another one of the beautiful Big Island beaches on the Kona Coast...when it is there. White Sands Beach is also known as “Disappearing Sands” because the sand and beach are washed away by high surf...mainly in the winter months. When the surf subsides, the sand returns...like magic.

To further confuse you, it is also called Magic Sands, but its official name is La'aloa Bay Beach Park like on the sign...

It is good for swimming and easy boogie-boarding in the summer.
