Hotels On Oahu
Choosing a place to stay from all the hotels on Oahu can be confusing...Oahu has the biggest selection of accommodations of all the islands. Let me help you sort through all the information...
Before we get started though, let me clarify a few things:
- I am not going to list all the hotels on Oahu here. It is not practical or necessary so...
- If you do not find a hotel listed here, do not be alarmed. It does not mean that it is substandard.
- There is really no "bad" location in Waikiki. Almost every property is located within a short walking distance of the beach as well as shops and places to eat.
- Rates vary tremendously based on a property's proximity to the ocean and the room category (based on view). Properties closer to the ocean tend to cost more. Likewise, Garden or mountain view rooms are going to be much cheaper than ocean view rooms and...There is also a difference between partial and full ocean views.
I have categorized them by the following price tiers:
Sidebar--I have noticed that alot of hotels on Oahu are charging what is called a "resort fee". It usually runs anywhere from $10-$25/day. It includes such things as complimentary breakfast (kind of contradictory to charge for complimentary breakfast isn't it?), internet access, gym use, parking, etc. You can't decline this fee, so just be aware of it.
Hotels on Oahu -- Waikiki
Waikiki is the Grand Central Station of Oahu, and Hawaii for that matter. Here you will find sensational shopping, exquisite dining, heavenly spas, and of course, world-class accommodations.
Waikiki Beach may be the most recognized two-mile strip of white sand in the world. Everything in Waikiki is within walking distance...so don't worry...there is really no bad location in Waikiki.
Below is a downloadable map of Waikiki and its properties...

Hotels on Oahu -- North Shore
Oahu's North Shore is an hour away from Waikiki...and a stark contrast. It is very rural and quiet...with one exception. During the winter months, the North Shore comes alive and becomes the center of the surfing universe. Still...it is relatively quiet...and there is only one resort here.
