Maui Beaches -- Kamaole Beach Park
Kama'ole Beach Park is located in Kihei, and is actually comprised of three separate Maui beaches...Kamaole I, Kamaole II, and Kamaole III...or Kam I, Kam II, and Kam III as they are affectionately known. I say affectionaltely because these beaches are loved by locals and tourists alike...I sure love them! They are separated by rocks that offer good snorkeling opportunities.
Kama'ole I (pictured below) is the northern most beach of the three beaches. It is also the biggest of the three. Although all three are good for swimming, Kam I provides the calmest waters for small children.
The northern most end of Kama'ole Beach 1 actually has its own name...Charley Young Beach (pictured below)...I'm not sure why but it has its own sign and parking lot.
Kama'ole II (pictured below) is just south of Kam I, and the beach is a little smaller than Kam I.
Kama'ole III (pictured below) is the southern most of the three beaches. It has the smallest beach of the three, but it also has the biggest grassy area.
All three of Kamaole Beaches have the following amenities:
- Ample parking
- Picnic areas
