Oahu Luxury Hotels
Are you looking for the best accommodations that money can buy on Oahu? Oahu luxury hotels are your answer.
The island is home to some very nice hotels. Call them what you want: 5 Star, luxury, resorts, or world-class. These Oahu resorts are going to provide personal, pampering service and exclusive amenities.
Let me show you the best hotels Oahu has to offer. Before we go any further, I need to mention one thing...
It was difficult to choose which accommodations should (or shouldn't) go into the category of "Oahu Luxury Resorts". Let me explain how I chose the properties...
- Tourism in Hawaii first began on Oahu so...Generally speaking, Oahu has the oldest hotels. Many of them are in need of updating, and many of them are currently under renovation.
With a little updating, there may be properties added to this lofty list so check back often or better yet...subscribe to my free ezine to keep you up to date.
With the exception of the Moana Surfrider (a Westin property), Oahu lacks traditional "luxury brands" like "Four Seasons" and "Ritz-Carlton" which are found on the outer islands.
To further complicate things, there may be certain towers or room categories within a certain property that could be considered "luxury".
Bottom line? In order to be considered an Oahu Luxury Resort, I chose those properties that are on par with the other luxury hotels in Hawaii...namely the ones on the outer islands.
Sidebar--I have noticed that alot of resorts are charging what is called a "resort fee" that runs anywhere from $10-$25/day. It includes such things as complimentary breakfast (kind of contradictory to charge for complimentary breakfast isn't it?), internet access, gym use, parking, etc. You can't decline this fee so just be aware of it.
